Volume 1, as you may know, was a compilation album of songs about the Covid-19 crisis, written by artists during the lockdown. The resulting album featured some fantastic talent from the UK blues and roots community, and helped to raise a four figure sum (and rising) for the charity.

For Volume 2 we have widened our focus, with one or two notable exceptions, to that of the singer-songwriter, and that wonderful balance of a beautiful song, sung convincingly, often played on one instrument such as a guitar or piano. To that end we have brought together established multi-million selling artists such as Kiki Dee and Rumer alongside more recent breakthrough artists like Jo Harman and Elles Bailey.

For the most part we have an international array of respected and emerging Troubadours like Connor Selby, James Maddock and Martin Harley and many others, spanning the generations from teenager to octogenarian. Whilst some of these songs are still about the crisis, some are not but all of them demonstrate music’s timeless ability to connect
on so many emotional levels.

The Songs of Isolation team; myself as current custodian of the Crawdaddy Club brand,
